The American championship’s current title leader is set to cross the pond to join the WorldSBK paddock on Yamaha machinery

The 34-year-old Californian brings eight years of MotoAmerica Superbike experience to the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, riding into the paddock in strong form. With two rounds left in their season, he currently leads MotoAmerica with seven consecutive podiums, winning five of those contests. Set to receive technical support from Yamaha Motor Europe, he and his Attack Performance Strack Racing Progressive Team’s Yamaha R1 are eager to see how their outfit stacks up against the World Championship’s field.

Attack Performance has quickly established themselves as one of the powerhouses of the American championship, winning four superbike-class titles since becoming Yamaha Motor Corporation USA’s official superbike team back in 2020. Attack Performance’s crew brings not only strong form, but experience at the World Championship level, including their most recent wildcard appearance with rider Jake Gagne in 2022’s Portuguese Round.

The #50 is amped up and ready to ride in the last two rounds, Fong said: “I am beyond excited to race the last two rounds of WorldSBK. It’s always been a dream of mine to showcase my talents on an international stage. I know it’s going to be a big task. The times there are super close, and we are ready to bring our best efforts forward. My personal goal is to be in the fight for the top 10 and to keep improving each session.”

Yamaha Motor Europe’s Road Racing Sporting Manager Niccolo Canepa reiterated this excitement about the prospect, he said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Bobby to the World Superbike paddock for the Estoril and Jerez events. 2025 has been a remarkable season for him and the Attack Performance team, fighting for the title in the MotoAmerica championship. We are always looking to give riders who have been successful in their national series the opportunity to race on the world stage, so we are pleased to be able to provide support to help make these wildcards happen. Good luck to both Bobby and the team for the final MotoAmerica rounds, and fingers crossed he will join us in Portugal as the reigning champion!”
